Who is the Congress for?
Do I need to be a member of the BWA?
No. The Baptist World Congress is open to all Baptists and friends.
Who can attend the Women’s Summit?
The Baptist Women’s Summit is a one-of-a-kind, quinquennial event that brings Baptist sisters (and brothers) together from around the world for a unified time of worship, prayer, leadership development, and ministry mobilization. The Summit will take place July 7- 8, 2025. You can find more information HERE.
Who can attend the NxtGen Leadership Summit?
If you are ages 18-35 and find yourself exercising leadership in your community, workplace, or church, the NxtGen Leadership Summit will be the ideal place for you to have a global experience, expanding your skills and understanding of leadership in God’s Kingdom.

Will there still be a separate program for children and teens?
Yes. Children ages 4 to 11 and teens ages 12 to 17 are invited to participate in a program in the morning and afternoon from Thursday to Saturday where they will be challenged and equipped to Live the Good News in their lives. Leaders from Queensland Baptists will oversee a team of vetted volunteers to provide the designed programs for your younger family members. More details are available HERE.
Discounted registration fees are available for children and teens as well as a family rate.

REGISTRATION FEES
What is the cost of registration?
What is included in my registration fee?
The Congress registration fee provides entrance to the Congress 2025 sessions you have selected and conference materials. You can find more information by visiting the Congress registration page.
What is NOT included in my registration fee?
Registration fees DO NOT include accommodations, meals, visa, or travel and other related costs.
What are the methods of payment?
You can pay with Visa/MasterCard/Discover credit cards. If you need to pay using other methods, please contact the Congress office at congress@baptistworld.org to get information on how to register and remit payment.

How do I register a group?
You can register as many people as you want in the same transaction.
Is there a discount for groups?
No.

LANGUAGES
What is the official language of the event?
The official language is English, but we are planning to offer a limited number of simultaneous interpretation languages during the main sessions. Please make sure to indicate your language preference during your registration process as the languages provided for simultaneous interpretation will be subject to requests received. We will be aiming to cover: French, Spanish, Mandarin, Burmese, Hakha Chin, Korean, and Portuguese. Unfortunately, we will not be able to cater to all the requests, but we will do our best to assist you. Also, some of the workshops and Bible studies will be offered exclusively in other languages.
ACCOMMODATIONS AND TRAVEL
Will there be special Congress housing rates?
Yes. All housing options and information is available on the Congress website accommodations page.
Will there be Homestay or Churchstay?
Australian regulations do not allow Homestay or Churchstay to be formally offered. If you have contacts in Brisbane, we encourage you to make direct contact with them.
Do you assist with travel arrangements?
The BWA Congress Office is not able to offer travel services.
Do I need a visa to enter Australia?
Generally, Europeans and North Americans can enter Australia to attend an event on an Electronic Travel Authority obtained via the relevant app. Many other countries will need a visa. For all visa information, review the visa page.
Does BWA assist with obtaining visas to Australia?
If you do need a visa to enter Australia, please request an invitation letter during your registration process. The BWA will start issuing these letters in February 2025 and continue until May 15, 2025. These will only be issued to registrants who have paid in full. Review all visa information.
Which airport is closest/most convenient?
The recommended airport is the Brisbane Airport Australia (BNE). Both Brisbane domestic and international terminals are a 30-minute drive from the Convention Centre. More information can be found HERE.
Volunteering
Can I be a volunteer at the Congress?
Given Australian regulations, volunteers will primarily be from Brisbane and can only be from Australia.
Will volunteers also have to pay the registration fee?
Yes. Everyone will have to register. Some volunteers will receive a discount depending on where and when they are volunteering.

Will there be a virtual registration option?
While we wish that everyone could attend in person, we do understand that various factors impact one’s ability to travel. Our heart is for as many people in our global Baptist family to participate as possible. To that end, we are researching virtual options and will post more information as soon as it is available.
Will there be any mission tours?
Yes. Please visit the Tours Page to get more information. Spaces are limited, so please register soon.
How can my church be involved?
Your church can be involved by bringing a group, promoting the event in your community, sponsoring others from developing countries, praying for the Congress, or by bringing a music or drama group.
The BWA Executive Committee and Global Council meet every July. Will they meet in 2025?
The BWA Executive Committee and Global Council will meet during the day on July 9, 2025, ahead of the Congress Opening Celebration on Wednesday evening.
