Accommodations and Food
Brisbane offers a wide variety of accommodation options, many within a five to 30-minute walk of the Convention Centre and the Southbank Precinct. These include hotels at all price levels: hostels, campgrounds, as well as 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments, which can be very cost effective for families and groups (both for sleeping and preparing food).
Hotels and Apartments: HPN Global is the accommodation bureau that will be managing hotel bookings during the Congress period. More hotels and apartments will be added to this site over coming months. Please click here to search hotels and apartments that we have contracted with.
Hostels: For a cheaper accommodation option, there are a number of hostels just a 15 to 20-minute walk from the Congress venue. These need to be booked directly with the hostel.
Campgrounds: Brisbane has several options for those with caravans or camping gear. Some of these parks also have cabins to rent if you have your own transportation. See https://www.caravanqld.com.au/ for more information on locations around Brisbane.
Congress Food Options:
Our Congress location offers a wealth of eating options to suit every budget and taste. The Convention Centre houses a number of food and drink outlets, including Merivale and Olio Cafés. The Southbank precinct lines the Brisbane River and is situated just across the road from the Convention Centre. It offers many restaurants and “take away” options at all price levels. A number of nearby supermarkets provide opportunities to purchase snacks and ingredients for those who are staying in apartments with kitchen facilities.
