Arrival Info

To assist you on your arrival into Brisbane, we have compiled information below to help you get from the airport to your accommodation.

Brisbane’s domestic and international terminals are separate complexes, a train ride apart and both are currently undergoing renovations, so some details may vary at the time of your arrival.

ARRIVING

DOMESTIC TERMINAL

For those who are connecting to Brisbane through other Australian cities, you will arrive at the Domestic Terminal. Once you enter the terminal from your flight, you will need to proceed to the lower level to collect your baggage. Follow the signs to access Taxi, Rideshare, Con-X-ion or the AirTrain. Please note that there are currently no Currency Exchange booths in the Domestic Airport. If you need to exchange money, it would be best to do this at the airport through which you enter Australia.

INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Once you have exited the customs and baggage claim area you will arrive into the public space of Level 2. The area is well signed, but to give you some indication:

  • Volunteers from Queensland Baptist churches will provide a welcome on the days and at the times when most international flights arrive (see below).
  • Pre-booked shuttles, Con-X-ion shuttle, and rideshare options leave outside the door to the far-left end of the area.
  • Taxis can be accessed straight out the front doors on Level 2.
  • The AirTrain can be accessed by taking the elevator or travellator to Level 3.
  • For your convenience and assistance, the Information Desk & Currency Exchange booths are open while flights are arriving,

QUEENSLAND BAPTIST WELCOME

We are grateful to members of Queensland Baptist churches who have volunteered to provide a welcome if you are arriving through the Brisbane International Airport at the following times:

Sun July 6 – 6:00am-10.00am and 6:30pm-11:00pm

Mon 7 July – 6:00am-10.00am and 6:30pm-11:00pm

Tues 8 July – 6:00am-10.00am and 6:30pm-11:00pm

Wed 9 July – 6:00am-10.00am and 6:30pm-11:00pm

Be on the lookout for the volunteers who will be holding Congress signs. They will be able to direct you to find transport to your accommodation, a place to exchange currency, and answer other questions you may have upon your arrival. Please remember it is YOUR responsibility to arrange your accommodation and transport while in Brisbane. The volunteers will not be able to arrange accommodation or transportation.

If you are arriving at the international terminal outside of these times above or at the Domestic Terminal, the airport provides Information Booths if you require assistance.
